The Aervana Wine Aerator is an amazing gadget that I stumbled upon not too long ago, that I believe can really change the tasting experience for most folks.

This is an aerator that provides EXTREME aeration. This is like using a normal Vinturi aerator x 100. As I have developed a palate for more old world wines, I've seen the need to decant a lot more of them than the bold, fruity California wines that I started out with. The problem is that I don't always have the time to decant a bottle for 2-3 hours. Another issue with decanting is trying to keep the wine at the correct temperature. Enter Aervana. This gadget is great because it really works. I have brought it out to parties with me and had folks taste wines side by side and they can always pick out the aerated wine. Most people who have an opportunity to try it out, end up enamored with it. It makes pouring wine fun and clean. As a bonus, there are no air cartridges to buy as some of these fancy aerators require. All you need is 6 AA batteries (included). I've probably used this to aerate 50 bottles and still haven't had to replace them.
